This item makes a great gift. The soap is excellent and the soap dish keeps it from disintegrating on the counter. The only thing I noticed is that the soap can stick to the wood holder, but this is easily remedied by coating the holder with mineral oil. I have found that not only does this protect the wood, it helps to stop the soap from sticking.
